We apply the most effective corporate governance tools which have been developed over the years. They are founded on Polish law, the Articles of Association of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and the corporate governance principles defined in the “Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies”*. In 2017, as in previous years, we did not comply with the recommendations of the “Best Practices (…)” to make it possible for shareholders to participate in the Shareholder Meeting “using electronic means of communication”. In our assessment, the introduction of such a possibility in the case of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Group could jeopardize the efficient conduct of the Shareholder Meeting and, consequently, result in resolutions adopted at it being challenged. We have, however, broadcast General Meetings in real time since 2016.
